PD2 was like 29 inches at JFK. They got crushed.

 

They had heavy snow for several hours before me because the dry air had slowed the northward push to a crawl.

My friend in Howard Beach Was snowing for three hours before it reached me in Middle Villiage.

That was a monster...corny joke.  But, this is one I remember being 13 at the time.  I'm starting to get storms and years mixed up now.  Wish I had uncles memory

I remember leaving my house in LH 2 days later and Dykrer Heights was a war zone. 

 

Feb 2010 on the N shore when you combined those 2 storms still had the greatest piles in my driveway and backyard to date 

Hurricane Irene now nearing 11 years ago, feels like yesterday. Not the most destructive storm for SE PA with wind, but certainly one of the worst in recent history in terms of rainfall and flooding. Lost power and school was closed for days

Belle in Aug 1976 Was very similar to Irene with both winds and heavy rainfall and the fact that there was a lot of rain before both storms hit in August. When the wind and heavy rain are combined those were the two best storms of my lifetime.

in December 1992 my dauther was sick that day and I stayed home...I would have been stuck at work because Subways were closed...mostly rain here until the 12th...
