August 15, 20223 yr Feb '83 blizzard was incredible. My HS was in Paramus and recall the snow was delayed a bit and started right when school let out around 1:45. Went from nothing to heavy snow from the start. Thundersnow several times from 8pm - midnight with high winds.

August 15, 20223 yr 1986-87 and 1987-88 were two almost good winters in NYC...early January 1988 had two 6" storms in a week...The second one was a near miss...86-87 the same but later in January...

August 15, 20223 yr I remember going to dinner on Mulberry Street the night before 96. It was awesome knowing 18 to 24 was on its way. Same thing for PD2 - was out the day before driving around on the N shore waiting for Craig Allen updates.
