that's quite the silly statement.  weather is cyclical. of course it will happen again. it's just when.  could be a 100 year storm, or a 50 year storm, but it will happen again.

wish i was older to remember more of it. was only 9. one thing i did remember is we have this mini windmill in front of our house, only time it was completely covered and it was nearly 3 feet tall. gives you an idea of how much snow we actually had here in SW suffolk county.

I am Suprised at how Few people remember the March 29, 1984 Nor’easter which was one of the most powerful storms I’ve ever experienced. I only had 3 inches of snow and wind driven sleet But there was a lot more inland and the winds were close to 70 mph

it didn't, but it was close

northern extent not nearly as robust, storm not nearly as cold and mid levels were better in 96

it's the reason why 96 is one of two nesis 5

let's be real about that

Because global warming. 1996 was colder and slightly cleaner but to say something won’t happen again is dumb when it pretty much did

and come on, 96 was "slightly colder"

6 degrees when the snow started just north of NYC

it was night and day for antecedent airmass and the airmass behind the storm
