Not solid enough

wasn't that bad on Staten Island where I lived...that winter was a little like 1960-61...60-61's winter was great from Dec 10th to Feb 4th...2010-11 was great from Dec 26th to Feb 4th...both winters had no more big storms after the 4th...

We got a 4 to 5 inch event in the second half of February 2011 which everyone forgets about. It would be considered an amazing snow event the last few years lol

Man these are such obscure frames lol

You're making this too hard, pick something more indicative of the storm.

Beautiful thread when we actually saw true storms. I’ll live in this thread for the rest of this sad winter.

the snowiest period in NYC was 56" in 33 days from Dec 26th 2010 to Jan 27th 2011...I checked other 33 day periods that had at least 28" of snowfall...below is the list...

snowfall.....dates/year.....

56.0" .....12/27-1/27/2010-11...

44.5"......12/23-1/24/1947-48...

42.1".........1/21-2/22/2013-14...

40.2"........1/13-2/14/1977-78...

38.2"........1/26-2/27/2009-10...

35.2"........2/06-3/07/1913-14...

35.2".......12/14-1/15/1995-96...

34.9"........1/15-2/16/1960-61...

32.5"........2/19-3/22/1895-96...

31.9".........1/16-2/17/2015-16...

31.4"........2/01-3/03/1993-94

29.6"........2/02-3/06/2002-03...

28.9".........1/15-2/16/2005-06...

28.5"........12/27-1/28/1922-23...

28.1"..........1/26-2/27/2020-21...

5 of these are in last 15 years, batting 0.3333 is pretty darn good as much as we complain.

yeah 3"...1" in March...to show how feeble this winter is so far the 1947-48 winter had 10 snowfalls bigger than this years best...

I've been alive for 11 out of 15 of them so no complaints from me...

Graupel move all this to the past storms thread if you can

Even in the forgotten late February 2011 event, this was LGA reporting:
