I'm aware. But it's track was inland. 50 5p would have stopped that.

1/22/-23 2005 Was Disappointing because if that work had gone to the Delmarva instead of north of New York City along Connecticut and then out over the coast south of Boston we would have had 3 feet here.

Cape Cod had a report of 8 inches of snow in one hour with 100 mph winds and the temperature in the single digits. That is the most intense conditions I have ever heard of for any snowfall on the East Coast.

I did manage to get 16 inches but to think that I was on a fringe of a blockbuster was frustrating

What a double whammy that was. I almost prefer it to one big event.

Imagine getting 10 inches today and a foot 2 days later?

Double the tracking double the fun

And in the heart of winter when it was cold

None of that melted

If it wasn't for the initial dry air and then one bad wedge in the middle of the storm I would look back on this more fondly

The first storm was one of the best positive past we have ever had.

We were supposed to get 4 to 6 inches of snow overnight from the 8th into the 9th changing to rain on the morning of the 9th.

Snow began falling at 8 AM on the eighth and by 10:30 AM the store rates with 3 in./h with temperatures falling into the teens and there was lightning and thunder. Cars were stuck everywhere not only from the snow but because the windshield wipers got frozen too the windshields  of the cars.

I got 10 inches of snow in 5 hours Then I got 3 inches of sleet by the next morning.

Feb 21 was initially great - an 8 inch finger came right through Monmouth County before anyone got more than 3.

But then it snowed itself out in EPA.

Think I got 18 - but they got 30.

We paid for that early finger 🙈

It definetly did. When I Saw that develop I knew that wasn't a good sign it is the equivalent of renegade thunderstorms developing out ahead of the main squall line that never works out for us in this case it proved true.

I got 20 with that, but then not much later the super bowl storm dropped I think 8.  That was a great month

After growing up through of horrible 1970s. Of low snow winters especially the 72-73 and 74-75 winters, This was absolute heaven.
