Once you've experienced Feb 21 nothing will ever compare

Greatest snow month of my life, I literally had snow almost every day, check my avatar, 33.4 inches in one month, it was like living in buffalo, you are correct my friend. And it all started right on Feb 1 video

  • 2 weeks later...

Dec 12th 1960...as an 11 year old it was one of the greatest snowstorms of my life...4" was forecast but Brooklyn ended up with 17" and more in some other parts of the city...Single digit temps followed...

Here Feb 2010, Feb 1994, Dec 26 to Jan 27 2010-11 (I know that isn't a "calendar month", but still)

Honorable mention Feb 2015 for the extreme cold and glacier like feel to everything

2003, 2013, 1960, 2002, and I think 2005.

The 8 inches I have I have I never saw so much this early the only other time I saw it earlier than this was December 5th and 6th 2003.

In fact the December 28, 1990 storm dropped 7 inches by me and that was at that time the biggest December snowstorm since December 11 and 12 1960.

This is rare territory.

Dec 28 1990 storm dropped 7 inches by me also which changed to sleet then freezing drizzle with temps inching to 33

my wife took a video of the Dec 1990 storm while I was at work...that storm came between torch's...

That winter was very warm but had 3 SECS that got us to normal snowfall.
It only has to be cold for12-24 hours and timed right with the storm.

What people forget about the Blizzard of 1996 is that a few days before the storm another storm produced snow for most of the day, but very little accumulated due to the warm surface temperatures. Also the storm produced consecutive days with at least a half of foot of accumulating snow for the Park. That was only the second time in Park history that happened. It has happened four times since.

December 19, 1995. New York City was supposed to get 12 to 18 inches of snow but the storm had trouble developing and only an inch fell throughout the day and then by 5 PM it started to get heavier. It got heavier night and slowed down to light to moderate snow in the next day it was snowing in LaGuardia airport I believe had 13 of 14 inches but New York City Central Park only had 7.7 and they were definitely the low measurement. And that was a problem that whole entire winter.

my video of the Jan 2-3, 1996 rain/snow and sleet in Brooklyn...
