    Guessing peak will take place right before the MJO pulse moves through & begins to weaken the low-level trades near the dateline.

    last week's oni was -0.8...lowest so far...was that the bottom?...last year the oni bottomed near -1.0 in December but that wasn't enough to be an official la nina because it did not last long enough...lets see how long this event lasts.....

    Look at how tye waters have warmed off the E African Coast in the IOand have cooled in the phase 4, 5, 6 region. That warm water phase 1,2 off African maybe key for us in Jan and Feb

    Look at tye EPQC, GOA warm pool and along tye entire WC! This has to be a N PDO if not + with tye next update.

    The warm water off the East coast of Africa phase 1 for MJO references.

    Lastly the colder water in phase 4 n 5 region

    oni was recalculated for last year...Has DJF -0.4 now...it was -0.6 before the change...what reason?...
