I have had at least flurries on like 9 or 10 out of the 14 days of December. I don't think that's a "horrible start' to winter.

This is brutal for Dec 15th wind chills temperatures. Temps will radiate pretty well with 5 -7" snowpack in NNJ

It’s fing cold out thankfully. Today was one of the best winter days I’ve ever had. We had guest up from Louisiana who were so exited to see so much snow. They were up at 6am to witness this frosty miracle we sometime take for granted. They made snowmen and angels and snow balls. Mind you all In there 50’s. Fun stuff.

I don't think a single station east of the Rockies is going to average +10, which is what it would take to even get to normal at many of those sites.
