    The GFS drops the entire Arctic in

    PV always lags after 10mb and 50mb warming

    Regardless if the winds reverse

    The GFS may be too fast but I do like the idea of the 2nd half of December seeing this

    Maybe for a few hours before the entire Polar Vortex drops in.

    I kind of like those events. You get to see how fast the temperature drops.

    78-79 winter, very cold, storm to our west warms up rains, back to very cold, sea of warm storms in a pattern of cold, the winter is already set for a midwest ohio valley winter, usually if you see the pattern happen like that early in november it sticks. In 1995 we had coastals and snow the pattern stuck
