    Snow is always very tough to forecast in the long range. But the cold will be there.

    I would rather the 6 week cold anomalies and take my chances.

    It will feel like xmas.

    Not sure if it will look like it , but thats 3 weeks away

    -PDO has continued to weaken, and is now in the -0.4 to -0.5 range. Much more moderate compared to a few months ago, and unlikely to be a major driver of the pattern now as a result.

    the PDO has been on a steady decline since the record set in July...latest monthly number was -1.67 for Nov...

    -4.18 -3.19 -2.31 -2.36 -1.67

    GFS and HRRR have Central Park dew point temperatures near (-10F) late in the overnight hours. That is almost unheard of this time of year. HRRR has dew point temperatures at the same time nearly twenty degrees higher.
