He is fine.  No reason to blame or jump at anyone.  AG3 was a fantastic poster for years that posted probably thousands of maps.  I just think the crud winters got to him as they did many.  It is easy to become negative the past several years, for our location and yours as well.

Maybe, but there have been long stretches of crap for NYC.  1970-2002, only 4 winters over 30".  Since then they have had 12.  I think we need to wait a bit to declare winters dead.  

Think about it from this perspective - what would the discussion be like on boards if the situation was flipped, and the cold kept getting kicked down the curb like the warmer than normal airmasses have been so far.

Most of the dud years during that stretch weren't epic torches though.

Some people were calling for a mega torch October just from the first few days by looking at ultra long range modeling.

I just looked up our worst winter ever, (before it was recently broken) 72-73.

 

The DJF winter average was -2.4 which is wild for only getting 2.8 inches of snow all season. 

It is so windy out here I am sitting in my car on break and the car is rocking back and forth.

Actually for a strong nino it was rather chilly at times. Problem was storm track..either cutters or a few storms that just missed us out to sea..Very unlucky . I remember Christmas it rained hights in the upper 30's..New Years eve was a torch..Big cold wave in early January with no precip
