December 10, 2025Dec 10 The models really appear to be coming into strong agreement on a strong se ridge and moderation in temps by the 4th week of December.
December 10, 2025Dec 10 Saw some TV people, including, shockingly, Nick Gregory reporting the radar showing downpours over central NJ, which was in reality the radar beam hitting the melting layer. All METAR reports indicated light rain when those 'yellow' echoes were over the same area.

But the 'enhanced' echoes would imply heavy rains as they were near the 'red' echoes. Most times you are near the 'rain/snow' line you will see the 'enhanced' echoes due to the radar beam hitting the melting layer.

I think it was that but it was raining pretty hard too.
December 10, 2025Dec 10 Relaxation of the cold is good warmer weather for a while is not bad you have that all the time you don’t go steadily cold all winter unless it’s the winter of 1976-77. If we can get some snow this Sunday I will be thrilled. 2 inches would be like 20 inches in this regime.
