Weather is global subject, as witnessed by the MJO. Sometimes we talk about Baffin Bay, sometimes Pakistan. It is one of the few truly global subjects.

And many times, what happens in Nebraska has an effect on your area.

For example, if this storm comes in tomorrow night south of progs out here, it would be bad news for you.

To the surprise of no one, Newark lead the way in wind gusts for first order climate stations (46 mph). The surprise? Central Park came in at 45 mph.

That snow band is persistent. Might be some accumulation south of the Park.
