We finished January +0.4 here at KOFK, EXACTLY normal. The warmest in history for much of the country? Tell that to the people in SC who are getting 6-10" of snow today, or the people where we used to live who are getting supply chain problems because the ports are frozen solid and ships can't get in.If you ever issued a public forecast, you would be sued! You said coldest January is years. Never happened. This wasn't even pedestrian cold. Sit down and shut up mama kisser. You aren't even a real met. You are a joke with a piece of paper

February 1Feb 1 every place but Central Park had measurable snow the morning after last weeks storm...they had 0.02" of precipitation but only a trace of snow with temps in the teens...that means 0.2" wasn't added to the totals...this has been a problem for years...every 0.1" counts...
February 1Feb 1 If we rain the 2nd weekend February after this cold stretch would be a failure to the pattern that was talked about being snowmegadon. After this weekends kick to the groin it would be a tough pill to swallow.

Out here im stuck at 6 inches for a season staring down the barrel of another February inferno. Oh boo ducken hoo you guys might rain for once.
February 1Feb 1 Haven't had an average winter here in 6 goddamn fucken years. BUT IT MIGHT RAIN ON THE COAST!!!!WOWWW
February 1Feb 1 Id kill for a fucken rain storm right now. We are so dry here. Lakes are bone dry and no snow pack outwest means the rivers will have very low flow. Beef prices will just go higher Because of this.

Sometimes it's on sale for 6.99.I get it from a good source, not a big box supermarket so I'm not sure if that justifies the price.

When buying store bought beat youre pretty much paying a premium for them to take the same 10 lb log of ground beef and make it look pretty on a Styrofoam tray with plastic wrap. Thats why I buy my beef straight from the source. Works out to around $5/lb of carcas weight for beef.

I used to be a a big 80/20 ground round for burgers guy but I actually like the 90% lean sirloin ground better now. I make tons of smash burgers and despite the lesser fat it tastes better. Sirloin has a beefier taste. For the grill I think I'd still go for the 80/20 though.

And getting a full side where you guys live would be really expensive. 80% of meat is slaughtered by 4 companies and they dont ship full carcasses anymore like the old days. You'll get primal cuts but you won't get trucks carrying full sides unless it's from an independent packer.
February 1Feb 1 Most store brand beef is just Tyson, JBS Cargill or National Beef with the stores label slapped on it. Same is true with Chicken and pork. Its all the same factory processed slop.
