This is nonsense. It snowed significantly multiple times before the larger storm in January including before winter even officially started and has snowed measurably with the every 3 to 4 weeks benchmark you mentioned in your prior reply! Look at the total snowfall at each major airport. Totals are at or near the average for winter with much of the area above the average and winter is not nearly over yet!

When judging winter, yes, you must count the extreme cold and the long stretch of days with at least 6 inches of snowpack. This has been a solid winter, not just average or the C+ grade that you're giving. In fact for this area, this has absolutely been a good to great winter. The measure of a winter in this region is not all about the snow anyway. This is not the Tug Hill region of NY so you have unrealistic expectations it seems.

Sounds to me that even if you lived in Worth, NY and gotten the over 255 inches of snow they received this winter you'd still be miserable and disappointed!

Dr's are a fraction of H1Bs. Theyre mostly used by big tech so they can exploit cheap labor and f*** over Americans. This trickles down to hurting the economy and tax base by eliminating jobs for Americans. They'll take a job that pays 100k and get some Indian and pay them 35k to do twice the work for longer hours and if they f*** up they getthsir visa pulled and theyre deported.

American doctors (not so much but along with any other profession mostly) are discouraged to enter a field when they see that field flooded with foreigners so big companies can save on payroll.

It's self fulfilling and a positive feedback loop; flood the market with foreigners, therefore discouraging American interest, therefore companies telling you they need more foreigners because Americans to fulfill those jobs don't exist.

They themselves created the problem they say they want to solve! BAN H1Bs in almost all circumstances is my position.

Everything gets compared to 2000s and 2010s winters for me. One 12” event and some 3-6” events doesn’t excite me anymore, neither does bitter dry cold. All it does is raise my oil bill.

I’d gladly take an average temp winter with one monster 18-24” storm over this winter

It seems people have lowered their standards due to the lack of snow the last 5 years.

Or we are old enough to know what reality is. The 2000s and 2010s were NOT realistic. Do you know how many times NYC had a foot of snow from a single storm between 1962 and 1992?

Im in central Suffolk, it’s more of. Anew England type climate than the city. up until 5 years ago 12” storms were normal every year
