Could care less about NYC it’s always been a snow hole. if I lived in NYC yeah this would be a B+ winter

Im in central Suffolk, it’s more of. Anew England type climate than the city. up until 5 years ago 12” storms were normal every year

You really need to go back and study weather and climate for a while before posting here.

NYC has not "always been a snow hole". If that's true, why do they average 8-10" MORE than you? If you go back to what happened in the 1980s, NYC was snowing and you were raining many, many times.

And no sense of statistics.

Islip NY was 101 on June 24, 2025.

They had a 0 low on January 31, 2026

That is the first time Islip has had a 100 during the summer and a zero reading the following winter.

Everything gets compared to 2000s and 2010s winters for me. One 12” event and some 3-6” events doesn’t excite me anymore, neither does bitter dry cold. All it does is raise my oil bill.

I’d gladly take an average temp winter with one monster 18-24” storm over this winter

It seems people have lowered their standards due to the lack of snow the last 5 years.

Obviously someone young. Looking at past winters would make it obvious that the 2000s and 2010s are the exception and not the normal.

March 2001 was a retrograding storm, which is why models had a hard time dealing with it.

Juno was basically a similar system. Models don't do well with storms that don't follow "normal" tracks.

This setup is nothing like that.

AI will be recognized as the best weather computer after it nails this Hecs(or Mecs) so many days out. Very rarely done.

Just vibes, not setup.

What a shithole
