December 18, 2025Dec 18 Cant wait for blowing dust and corn husks the rest of the week. Highlight of the winter right there for Nebraska!!! Yippie!!!! Oh and forecast for Christmas looking like mid 60s. But hey it was cold for like 10 days
December 18, 2025Dec 18 We dont get lucky here in Nebraska. Wr get our **** punched in every day. Whether its sports or weather we dont win jack fucken shit here. Slit my wrists all ready f*** this fucken season.
December 18, 2025Dec 18 Caldwell 7 is finally complete. Approximately 10.3 hours of integration time. My brain still can't process that we're looking 8 million years into the past but in the present
December 19, 2025Dec 19 Caldwell 21 is finished. 9.3 hours of integration time. It is a dwarf irregular galaxy about 12.5 million light years away. I kind of feel bad for it; it probably gets bullied by all the other galaxies.
December 19, 2025Dec 19 The Owl Nebula, about 2,600 light years away, formed from a star with a mass similar to the Sun that ran out of hydrogen fuel, leaving behind a hot core. NASA claims this is an example or a preview of what our Sun may look like in about 5 billion years. 4.3 hours of integration time.

December 19, 2025Dec 19 The frustration of localized squalls... I missed out by a few miles, maybe 5, to my north for most of the best squalls this afternoon, now an area developing to the west that may miss me by a mile south.

Yea like they'll work out here where 60 MPH cross wind gusts are common and you get high winds for much of the year. They've closed highways to semis over wind pretty often here.

This makes the blue hues from stars and the gentle red hydrogen gas easier to see. I also applied a slightly more aggressive stretch to bring out fainter details, at the expense of a bit more noise.
December 22, 2025Dec 22 I hardly ever watched this show when I was a child but now, I'm catching up on it...It was on a Sunday night live from NY from 1950 to about 1968...

December 22, 2025Dec 22 January 2026 will be the warmest in recorded history for much of the country. Especially in the plains.
December 22, 2025Dec 22 Remember when I said the September October and November torches were gonna continue?Vindication feels so good.
December 22, 2025Dec 22 Trees are going to be blooming by the end of next week. This is historicly bad. Holy f***. Wonder if @Analog1888 is gonna man the fucj up and apologize for me. He trashed me for MONTHS over this.

December 26, 2025Dec 26 Looks like someone (maybe, me!) in and around the immediate NYC metro will be getting the first warning criteria snow of the season so I won't break tradition of 26 years of posting on winter weather message boards before a significant snow storm. For the first time this winter in and around immediate NYC metro, the moment you all have been waiting for has arrived. Here's the Snow Song's first appearance of the season, enjoy, or 🙄 whatever you like. 😆[Based on the title song from Supertramp's first album Crime of the Century (1974)]. RIP lead singer Rick Davies who passed earlier this year. This was also one of my dad's favorite bands and songs and he passed on June 10th just 1 month before Rick Davies passed. They were both born in 1944 so this is a little extra sentimental this winter for me.Now winter's planning, the storm of the century.Well when, will it be?Read all about the snow and strong gusty winds.Yes, It's well worth a feeSo bundle up and see...(loud but brief guitar intrusion)How it pounds the universeHow it's gone from bad to worseWho are these mets. of lust, greed and glorySteal their models and let's seeBut that forecast's not right, oh no what's the story?Well there's a temp. of 43...(Shut up, that can't be right)
