found this video about the California flood of Dec 1955...It was a la Nina year...Dec 55 was very cold in NYC but dry...big snows came in March 56 that year...kind of similar to this year's pattern...

@uncle w the 1st WTC bombing, Feb 26, 1993, were we forecasted to have a big storm but it slipped east and we just had some snow showers? I feel like I remember riding my bike home from school in 8th grade and being pissed it wasnt snowing to then turn on the TV and see that happened. Maybe im wrong though

That was my memory, as I was in HS then. We had about 2-3" in Great Neck that day, as I recall.

I don't remember it was going to be a big storm...When it started snowing, I left work and went home to video the event...good thing I did because everything was stopped after the bombing...I couldn't go back so I was lucky...on 911 it was election day for the primary...I was working two blocks from the trade center...After the second plane hit I just left work and went down to Battery park to get away from buildings...When I got there I went to the ferry and there was an announcement about a ferry coming at 10am...I was the first on line and making a long story short I was on Staten Island and did not inhale any dust...I was lucky both times...This is the video of the 26th event...
