This is the issue which gfs just slowed down by 6 hours. It's a southern jet vort that prematurely spawns a surface low which brings the baroclynic zone east temporarily before the main vort comes in and spawns a new low. By that time some of the energy is gone and we are lacking fromtogeneis and instead are getting frontolysis. That is why the precip is Mia. We need to slow down the southern vort or speed up the main vort to get tha energy aligned.
