    12Z ECMWF doesn't have a maximum temperature over 36 degrees for the first twelve days of 2026 for Central Park. That has happened three times before: 1940, 1968, 1970. Would have thought that would have happened in the very cold late 1910's.

    January 1968 and 1970 were extremely cold...January 1968 had the coldest week in my lifetime...it ended with a rain storm...January 1970 missed a big storm early in the month...NYC got 2" from this storm...there was a heavy snow warning that morning...
