PD11 turned to a bit of sleet at the very end after 17” had fallen IMBY . The temps that Sunday were in the low to mid teens all day . Monday AM it was in upper 20’s as it ended with an hour or so of sleet

I believe the Blizzard of '96 featured sleet in DC and along the DelMarVa as well.

I had some sleet and graupel around midnight during the 96 blizzard in sw Brooklyn...

That may have been more due to dry air aloft than anything else. Remember that long 'halftime' lull.
