Balance of January and all of February with a Hint of March Storm Tracking Thread

Featured Replies

Feb 2018 is the warmest February on record and if we don’t get any more snow, the rest of this February, that month will have more than triple the amount of snow then we have had this month.

What a disappointment-looked like we could really run up the snow totals this year but the drought just carries on. Looks mild into next week so we'll do a slow melt which is good.

It’s an 80’s early 90’s decade. Enjoy the 20” plus seasons while supplies last.

Nice to know with all the climate change theories and cyclical years, that we still can pull a very cold winter with a fair amount of snow.

Officially pleased with this season’s.

If Pensacola can get a blizzard we will be snowing for quite some time into the future. LOL

Whole country is dry

US Drought Monitor showing conditions for 2-5-26.

If we can repeat this winter the next few winters I will be satisfied.

We are lucky it was so cold

If we had that precip output w just N temps most would probably have 10 to 15 inches of snow for the season

Feb 2017 is the second warmest and Feb 2018 is the warmest

I still have a 7 inch snowpack and what’s incredible is the fact that there’s only been 1 inch of replenishment. To have a snow pack last this long with this little precipitation is a first for me.

What has happened here since January 25, 2026 is not going to happen again in our lifetime. When you really sit back and think about it, what we have achieved is historic with regards to constant snow cover in the drought pattern and cold.

Wow! I'll put more gas in the atv for the plow today

I guess on the bright side…. No snow on Sunday means Sunday funday for USA hockey is a go 🤣

Today is our 27th straight day with snow cover here in Chester County. Tomorrow we will move to the 15th longest such stretch and 24th overall snow cover streak in county history with 133 years of records back to 1893. Below normal temperatures will continue through tomorrow before we warm to near normal temperatures over the weekend. There is a chance of some snow or rain arriving later Sunday with the highest chances across more southern areas. We look to continue to warm next week with temperatures well into the 40's by Tuesday. We will likely turn colder again by the end of new week.
