    You can see how much farther south the shortwave over the Dakotas now is on the NAM compared to 6 runs ago.

    This slight additional interaction with the main shortwave in the south is what is providing the light to moderate snow swath on Sunday.

    Compare to 6z. Looks like it should be a better outcome with more interaction happening.
