Don't fall for this south nonsense. This thing is snowing to Poughkeepsie.

2 days ago we were getting 0 if it’s a 1-3/2-4 event still a big positive turnaround

Looks where the 12z GEMLAM is placing the snow:

I don’t share it with anybody says these models are absolutely atrocious, these models are 1970s and 1980s bad. They are all over the place and they just keep flip-flopping.

I believe it’s garbage and garbage out. Bad information goes in bad information comes out. You figured by now they would be able to factor in a lot more than they used to be able to which could make a better forecast, but they just seem to be going backwards.

Gorgeous out today with solid melting going on

Focuses on northern stream

Regardless of what happens to tomorrow night into Monday, we are going to melt some of the snow and ice over the next week and it’s going to look a lot different this time next week than it does now. The snow will not be all gone, but it will be significantly reduced. I’ll flee by the end of February into March. We get some more snow and cold, which looks likely.

Sref snowier

Yep losing an inch or so a day at least and southern exposures even more. It’s all gross around here not to mention all the salt on the roads
