It's not just this storm snow seems to have disappeared altogether.

Too much touching the money regarding the pattern. Calling for snowmagedon is never a good idea.

Climatologically speaking, hard to do along the coastal sections.

There will be more chances in this pattern. There is a decent looking clipper on 2/5. Snow isn't going anywhere, either.

Our biggest blizzards are usually "Archambault" storms.

They come at the beginning and ends of patterns. A great example of that was 2010-11. The best storms were 12/26 and 1/27, bookending the great pattern.

The Blizzard of 1996 fits that bill also, so does 2/26/10.

virginia/north carolina blizzard on the 6z gfs, swing and a miss up here, still we have days to go

There will be threats every two or three days in this pattern.

Will they all materialize? Of course not. Some may be just small clippers, but there will be constant threats.

Some may show up many days in advance, some just two days in advance. We just have to watch and be patient.

Everything looks south and east on the gfs.

Why do you always jump to a conclusion that’s incorrect

Still think we in NJ will be close!

Clipper on the 5th drops a light snowfall, then we have this little wave.

will be over Florida tomorrow

Amazing how stationary the Arctic blocks are on the 0Z GEFS, GEPS, and EPS are at the end of their respective runs.

Your snowfall is double your seasonal average right now, up to this date.

I want more SWF

16 inches from the last storm

Fuck coastals

Another clipper around the 11th, each one of these brings light snow and Arctic fronts.

If any of them pop a coastal (Miller B), then we can get a lot more. But at the very least, we should have frequent light snows and reinforcing shots of Arctic air.

By the way, I am not totally giving up on this coastal threat until Friday's 12Z runs.

I know it looks bad right now, and chances are much higher this goes OTS than is a hit, but my philosophy is to always wait for the last wave to clear and thre last wave won't clear until late Thursday night.

even if it shows a hit I would wait till Friday too...like I said all along if this one misses there will be more chances after that...
