EC/GFS has widespread 60s/70s for us starting next weekend but hard to just pull the band aid off and go against the seasonal trend for the last 3 months

Let's get that within 7 days, but I do think it's real, even if just for a few days.

I would not be shocked if it's muted or mainly central jersey south

A few thoughts on that:

1) This is pretty much unavoidable, at least the warm temperatures aloft.

2) What effects does it have. You will have quite the oceanic inversion aloft (Marine dense fog advisories).

3) Does the (reduced) snowpack lead to lots of low clouds.

4) Flooding threat? Don't think so because the snow melt will have been in full force before hand and any heavy rain will be in the Mississippi River Valley.

5) What is happening overall is somewhat similar to the post Blizzard of 1996 period.

I’d hit that

Didn't he have the Feb Blizzard on his calendar?

Not in teh back with dates to watch for planetary alignments. At least his 2024 calendar. I did not get his calendar for his year.

Where's Joe been @VIRGAMAN ? He is Jim's friend. I hope he is alright. He has not been on here in about a month.

Oh OK, I swore I saw it on the calendar. I heard he is taking care of his sick son and he is an accountant(?) so it's tax season.

Gfs right where we want it. Look for north trend tomorrow night Friday hopefully

It's 34 degrees. My NWS just updated the local forecast 6 minutes ago (4:45 PM local time) and it says HIGHS IN THE MID 40S.

Can't they figure out that it's not going to rise 10 degrees in the rest of this afternoon? LOL
