Hit 78 here yesterday, a new daily record high. Much cooler today at 60, but still around 15 degrees above normal even after the cold front moved through.

61.1 with peaks of sun now cloudy. Briefly made it to 62. As for next weeks system it’s over a week away and we’re in March. I wouldn’t get too excited yet

I went to Queens earlier and I was shocked at how warm it got and I was actually sweating because I had a long sleeve shirt on. Still chilly where I live in Bay Shore we didn’t get out of the 50s here today but it felt nice coming home from the warmth to the still chilly air

Gfs has a one week stretch of very cold temps with snow from 18-24.

That would probably be 80 out here. I hit 76 today and turned on the air, but the next week has a lot of ups and downs.

Overnight models- GFS sort of a yes, it's a brush, mostly OTS, but there is definitely a signal.

We will see. Right now, the Canadian model REALLY likes the threat, the GFS is saying it's possible, and the ECMWF is all over the place.

Doesn't look all that cold on the GFS at least-the true cold is locked in Cananda

Yeah but I wasn't talking about surface temps. I'm looking at only thicknesses and upper air.

It's always had problems with surface temps, especially minimums.

It basically assumes everyone can radiate like the far interior.
