March 13Mar 13 One can say this upcoming winter storm is like the Superstorm of 1993, only further northwestward.

Storm was great though they were forecasting 3-6” here total.

Even though it changed over the rain, I still got over a foot of snow where I lived, and even though temperatures gotten near 40 once the cold there came in after the snow squall. It was like the snow was concrete, which was good, but it would’ve been so nice to get additional snowfall on top of what we had. The only storm that was bigger that I experienced in my lifetime was the March 21-22 2018 snowstorm in my first winter in southern Suffolk County where I had 18 inches.

Can’t remember getting 14” so late in any season.

That was on a whole other level.

March 14Mar 14 Continued breezy today and tomorrow with below normal temperatures not far from 50 degrees. We briefly warm on Monday with highs well into the 60's before a strong cold front crosses the area not too long after the evening rush hour. Rain chances to ramp up tomorrow night with over an inch possible by later Monday. We could see some severe weather Monday evening. With the cold frontal passage Monday night, we could again see rain changing to wet snow with temperatures dropping over 20 degrees over a couple of hours. Tuesday and Wednesday will be unseasonably cold with highs barely above freezing on Tuesday and remaining in the 30's on Wednesday.
March 14Mar 14 Quite the windstorm here yesterday. PIT gusted to 66 mph, AGC to 69 mph. The 66 at PIT was the 4th highest non-thunderstorm gust on record. The last time we saw a higher non-thunderstorm gust at PIT was in 1932.
