Though if I had showed you a map of winter 2015 for North America you would have thought we were entering another ice age. Until I zoomed out to show the whole world. Not sure what you're even arguing though honestly. It's been way above normal the vast majority of the time at all levels of the troposphere, the oceans, urban, rural, etc. So no, it's not hot in one place and cold somewhere else.
