We should be close to normal temperatures today (low to mid 50's) before a brief spike to well above normal for The Phillies Opener (upper 60's). Then back to below normal temperatures Friday through the weekend. Shower chances increase tomorrow night into Friday morning with a cold front.

This morning was the 99th day where the low temperature fell to at least 32°

This is the most days I’ve experienced with a low temperature of 32 or below in my lifetime.

Maybe some flakes coming up. Models have some flakes with a weak inverted trough.

That's because you lived in Queens most of your life lol

Islip averages 100 days below freezing, and that's with the shiitty torched 1991-2020 normals.

Thats good for Queens then. Not sure why Islip matters in his post.

He doesn't live in Queens though anymore.

He lives by Islip now and his location is even a little bit cooler than they are.

I’m not talking about Islip, Im talking about where I live now on my thermometer. I did live in Queens and the Bronx before I moved out here in Lake 2017 so that’s all I have to go by.

Marquette, Michigan had 300 inches of snow this past winter but I don’t live there and it’s not my Climate. I was happy with my 66 inches.

Some parts of Ontario Canada have had over 150 days below freezing as well as temperatures 20 to 30 below zero but I don’t live there and it’s not my Climate. I never experienced that.

I never experienced 125° heat but I’ve experienced 104° heat with dewpoints of 80 like I did last June. I have never experienced wins of over a 200 mph. But I have experienced winds of 122 knots on September 16, 2010 where I used to live in Queens during the macro burst and tornado. That was enough for me. I don’t ever want to experience anything like that again.

Dave Kingman wanted hit a ball almost 600 feet. The furthest ball I ever hit was over 300 feet. Dave King was a professional baseball player. I was just a weekend hacker so both was significant to us in different ways.

I picked Islip because it's the closest station to where you live on Long Island. Your averages should be similar to what Islip averages, maybe even a hair cooler.

Islip averages about 100 days below freezing each cold season, so if you just had your 99th day below freezing at the end of March it's actually quite normal and expected.

Rainy pattern coming?

Now lets talk about the record low snow pack in the rockies and how much of the western 2/3rds of the country had a record warm winter compared to a modestly cold winter for a small area of the country

I mean Cmon. We never see cold departures at the same magnitude over such a massive landmass like we do with warm ones.

-105! If that’s true. I believe that is coldest temp ever recorded on earth in March.
