This ended up aging like milk

To those that celebrate....welcome to Phillies Opening Day!! Go Phillies! It will be a beautiful spring day today with highs reaching the 70's. Shower chances increase tonight into tomorrow morning. Much colder tomorrow with temperatures falling during the day and falling below freezing tomorrow night. Saturday will be the coldest day of the weekend with highs barely escaping the 30's. We moderate back to near normal temperatures by Sunday. Go Phillies!!

Yeah, he should just give up the Siberian snow cover thing.

He's wrong many more times than right with that.

Latest NAO and AO predictions are showing it staying positive now. Expect the models to warm up.

Nice contrast near Monmouth:

What's the event? There is no context to this post

Referring to an upper end WWB event near the dateline, which may be assisted by twin tropical cyclones in both hemispheres. Historically, that has been a key catalyst to recent super El Nino events (1982, 1997, 2015 satellite imagery of these twin cyclones below).

If you do get the twin tropical cyclones in the WPAC, I think super El Nino has to be close to your base case. Just need to iron out what the risk % is that doesn't end up panning out.

Tropical season is in a little over 2 months. Wonder how this year goes, water is very cold and will probably take some time to warm up as well

Water isn't cold where tropical systems form though

It is always wait and see. All predictions are totally useless.

He wants the storms to hit here.

But is there shear? Saharan dust? Dry air? It takes more than warm water to make tropical cyclones thrive.

By the time it gets to that point in the season, the SST profile can change dramatically.

Just need warmups

I know we have had several warm days here and there, but I'm really surprised at the grass green up and all the buds on the trees. Actually there is also a decent amount of weeds that popped up in the mulch, rocks, etc. I don't feel like weeding yet.

52 and cloudy here

Taking the little one for a stroll.
