Models had it the other day. Lost it… hopefully now they bring it back, as we all know happened plenty of times

Current Top 3 CIPS analogs (obviously these are solely run off the 12z GFS and not the Euro guidance):

1. Jan 2016

2. BDB 2010

3. Jan 1996

what no March 1888 and Feb 1899?...

Euro and Euro AI not being on board is a problem, but need another 1-2 days

This has a very good potential for coastal areas... sorry inland not so much i don't think the folks that live in upstate new york will get in on this one. But the coast doesn't need much to be in play here.

There's definitely an eastward lean, however the the cluster center is right on the BM. Hard to see how this doesnt produce at all.

The lean E may be skewered by the clipper system that runs through Thursday?

U like this storm bro or you think it a miss in my opinion, I usually wait till under the 4 day period before I take anything. Serious, but at least the signal still there .

Looping hr 96-114 on the 12z GFS, it looks like the storm is ready to keep climbing NE and obliterate us.

It just kind of spins in place and clips us before slipping east... it is CLOSE

Yes, certainly close enough to keep an eye on. And close enough verbatim for our LI people, probably.

will this be a January 1964 blizzard or the Jan 1965 just missed blizzard?...if you were alive in 65 there was a heavy snow warning...we did get 5" of blowing snow but it was a scrapper....1964 was a long cold and windy storm...The ao is still forecast to drop to -5sd and stay very neg...in Feb 2021 the AO dropped to -5sd after the storm and we did see more snow after the big one...just not another big one...
