There was ONE and only one blizzard warning ever issued for the OBX and it was March 1980.I remember that stone well it was originally supposed to hit New York City with heavy snow but it went south and places like Chapel Hill North Carolina had almost 2 feet of snow I believe we got Bailey a dusting in New York and I think Washington DC had a couple of inches. That was a very suppressed winter the winter of 1979-80. People talk about bone dry and cold that was the winner.
