    Islip is at 3 degrees, if they fall below zero, it would be the first time since 1988. Before that, it happened much more frequently.

    The GFS has been trending north with the wave for the fourth and now grazes southern portions of the metro with snow, FWIW

    had minus 2 at midnight, then cloud cover brough temp to now 5.8 degrees above at near 6 am

    finished with 26.7 inches for January, and December was 16.1

    also back to frigid weather Feb 9th onward, maybe even colder than what we just had, 30 will feel like a heatwave this week
