February 10Feb 10 Author Need to see if this northern stream is real. Models won't resolve this for days. Historically speaking, history tells us that models tend to start changing at 144 hours this year

February 10Feb 10 Back to last year's dry suppressed pattern. Glad we got the 1/25 storm in but those are rare birds these days....
February 10Feb 10 Here in the philly burbs of Chester County 3 stations set a new record for consecutive days below freezing at 17 days through yesterday. The old record was set way back in 1961.

February 10Feb 10 You think it's been a cold start to February? You are correct! Here in Chester County PA with data back to 1893 this is the 3rd coldest on record as only 1905 (11.2 avg. temp) and 1905 (18.4) were colder. We finally see most spots getting above freezing today but still at least 5 degrees below normal levels. Tomorrow will be our warmest day of the work week with highs well into the 30's. We turn colder again to close out the week, and we could see some snow arrive or Sunday with a likely change to rain by Monday.

I read this elsewhere: The Fort Dix radar (KDIX) remains out of service through at least today, although this will depend on how quickly replacement parts arrive. Some progress however was made yesterday.

February 10Feb 10 we are on pace for the driest February on record...I remember Feb 1968 when it was a very cold month but had very little rain and no snow until the last day of the month...it finally had a noreaster with heavy wet snow that started as rain...
February 10Feb 10 NWS PHL not buying a significant FZR threat tonight, would think a WWA would be up for the northern counties for the possibility since starts shortly after sunset. Regardless looking forward to temps in upper 40s about a week from now. Still think we got one more plowable event for a good chunk of this forum before winter is done.
February 10Feb 10 ICON is such a bad model. The changes from 00z to 12z are laughable. I guess though as many have said, its a time filler until real models come out
