That is an unbelievable veering patten through the column

Strongly considering driving back to my parents's place in Montgomery Twp to watch this. Will make the decision after 12z today. Would normally not do this - but this looks like it could be a historic event.

I’m leaving Staten Island and going to my parents in eastern Nassau on the south shore. Should be a doozy out east

I saved all my research papers from SUNY Albany… 1997 was the year… first page of a comparison study between the epic 1995-1996 winter vs 1996-1997 comparing 500mb spatial variation patterns and amplifications.. do some google searches on the references … good reads.. I’m sure they can be found on the internet.. talks about how instrumental these 500 patterns are for cyclogenesis.. thought this was relevant for this storm because a lot of what I’m seeing for this is what I found happening a lot during 95-96
