Alright. Guess I am off a bit. If you count the 2 December events as say 4 a piece for our area plus the 12 in January and some nickel and dime events if we think 14 for Jan storm is too high we're right there around 20 on the season. At most 22 if you want to be more aggressive. Get us 10-12 with this next one we are over 30 and above normal. 08-09 style winter near 35 inch mark by late Feb (got there a bit differently than 08-09) and darn cold majority of the time.

I can tell you that upstream here in Arkansas, we had some convective cells overnight that weren't necessarily modeled and some of that was sleet/thundersleet, associated with that shortwave moving over the southern plains. If that helps.
