I don't know why that would mean low standards, but to each their own. Nevada has state-wide casino gambling, and there are plenty of rich people in parts of Reno and in the Tahoe area.

The bicentennial was a very big celebration and the buildup to it was a long time over many months. It was my father best celebration I’ve ever seen in my life and I really thought at one point that the 250th birthday celebration was going to be epic but not only is that not happening. Nobody seems to care. Nobody talks about it and it’s very disappointing.
