This might be true about Afghanistan, but I have talked to Iranian people, and from what I have heard is that many/most Iranians prefer a secular Muslim society, similar to Turkey, and have only had religion forced upon them by the Ayatollahs.

I know this is anecdotal, but IF this is true, then we might be able to have a western style government there.

But I still agree with you. We should let the Iranian people decide their fate.
We should not be in the business of nation building.

Let the Iranian people decide, and if they decide on a government that is not friendly to the west, close off all trade with them.

I know many Iranian( Persian) people in my neck of the woods. Although not secular ( Jewish) most of their folks came to Long Island in the 70’s and 80’s fleeing the regime. Very hostile obviously toward Jews , and had nothing good to say about the area where their ancestors lived. And they certainly don’t buy the lies about Israel being a European white colonizing country.

I wore a mask when I was forced to or not enter, otherwise, no. I did all they allowed me to do. I only took the vaccines because I needed them to work and I immediately regretted it.
