I looked it up, their batteries are not typical lithium ion like phone batteries.

They were engineered for super fast charging. Only their latest model cars have the new battery tech. Grok says battery degradation was only 2 to 3% over 50k miles compared to the typical DC fast charging the typical EV uses.

Plus someone posted that BYD offers guaranteed 70% battery capacity at 155,000 miles of usage.

They should be required to provide their own power (or pay for the increased capacity needed without jeopardizing the grid) and recycle the water they need.

A lot of data centers already recycle water. And many use treated sewage wastewater instead of potable ground water.

There are a few in my old town of Piscataway. I wonder what they do with the water. One is right next to a tributary of the Raritan where I used to fish as a kid. The whole area over there had major cleanups already from dumping of a-bomb materials. And to think I had well-water growing up. It always tested clean, but out of say 70 people on my street, way too many had/died of Cancer. That isn't even counting the animals that died of cancer too. Scary crap.
