Happy 4th of July to all of you! Below is the history of July 4th weather since 1893 here in Chester County PA. Overall we have seen a flat trend in average temperature / a slight cooling trend for high temperatures and a slight warming trend for overnight low temperatures for the holiday. The hottest July 4th was back in 1966 the chilliest was in 1978.

Looking at the future cast there could be storms coming in around the time for the fireworks display or join it in New York City and the rest of the boroughs.

The meso models seem to be pushing it more towards 4-6z which would be appreciated lol

Central Park is currently colder than every other reporting station, even the ones way out east like the Hamptons.

Yeah, see that I believe the storms are getting in here into the city by 11 o’clock. The first batch looks to go north of the Connecticut through the Long Island sound maybe northern Nassau Suffolk County with the second line is coming straight from the west well that’s according to the future radar anyway.

99 here

The national weather service is not going to do anything about it. I always tell people to ignore those readings and I show them the areas around the York city Central Park. Because Central Park is not representative of everybody at all.

100 here today 2nd consecutive day.

On Thursday, the temperature was 101 at Farmingdale and only 74 at Captree State Park. It’s not that far at all. That was a very nice Sea Breeze set up. I was and once you got above sunrise highway then temperatures rose, and by the time you get to the southern State Parkway it was 100+ over there.

I believe this is the hottest weather we go through the entire summer. In fact, I would almost guarantee it.
