Hitler attempted a coup in Munich. It failed, and he was imprisoned shortly, partly because the judges at his trial were sympathetic to his reasons. The failed coup made him more popular becausr the Germans needed someone to blame for their depression. The Stormtroopers were the strongest paramilitary force and attacked other groups, such as Socialists and Communists to limit their social order. The NSDAP narrowly failed to win a majority, but conservatives backed Hitler because they thought they could control him. Once he was appointed chancellor through a political deal, Hindenburg later died, and Hitler combined the offices of president and chancellor. He also used the Reichstag Fire to help ban other political parties.

Replace the words with Socialists and Democrats, and it will happen in our country if they pack the courts. Republicans would still be legal, but they will be locked out of every election because Democrats would control the election system
