Brooklyn had a deluge of over 6" in an hour on 6/24/1962...there was flooding all over the brough...

enough people shoot off fireworks in PA...last year my sons dog got loose and ran away because of fireworks...a couple found her about a mile from the house...in the 1960's some people made bombs and set them off...One July 4th that happened in the school yard near my house...It put a hole in the cement and blew out all the windows in the school...Some homes across the street had their windows broken...

Yeah, people do it all the time where it is illegal. Usually, the rule is something like the cops will only enforce it if they are called about it.

we would set off rockets and aim for things...one went into the pizza place and blew up on top of a pizza...the owner was pissed but he didn't come out because he knew who ever was shooting them off would aim a few more at him...Karens would be a target back then...

in July 1970 I had a 1961 Chevy that I was going to junk...I wanted to have a little fun with it...I drove it to a parking lot and started lighting off fireworks in the car...by the time I was finished the whole interior was in pieces...while we were doing a cop on the beat was right behind me...I turned around and saw him...He looked at me and said what are you doing...I said I'm blowing my car up...he looked at me like I was crazy and said I don't care what you're doing...just get this car out of here...So I had to drive it up the block with the interior in shambles...took off the plates and that was that...the neighborhood scavengers stripped it and eventually was towed away... there was no kars for kids back then...
