I don't believe in trickle down, I am a staunch supporter of upward mobility.

Capitalism is the only system that doesn't punish success and it needs to stay that way.

It is the only system in the world where by any of you could become wealthy if you are able to implement a need or service that satisfies the many.

You don't punish risk takers, I am in favor of 0 taxes on anyone earning 60k a yr or less.

My hope is that the 5k a month tax free is only their starting point and not a 50 yr way of life

I generally agree

You can't come to an agreement or compromise with people who would relish in the demise of our country. Once upon a time the Democrats were a normal party where we would disagree on small difference

The thing with trickle down economics is this. It's not a "bad" theory. It certainly has merit. If businesses have more money to spend, they'll pass it down to their employees, so everyone will do better.

The problem is not the theory, it's the practice. The problem is that most, if not all, rich CEO's are too greedy to let that happen. If a CEO gets more money, they usually don't hire more employees or pay their employees more.

They throw more money into the Stock market.

Trickle down probably works better with small businesses than big businesses.

image.jpegThis was taken during the summer of 1973 and I believe it is a good bet that it was from a storm that happened from on a Saturday through a Sunday morning. I don’t know what month probably either July or August.

I remember this one Saturday we had torrential rains that Saturday where I lived in Queens probably between three and 4 inches and I remember my father took me for a ride and we went down 150th St. off of the Bell Parkway and we hit tremendous flooding. There was no lightning during the day on Saturday. That Overnight until Sunday morning we had training thunderstorms from about two or 3 AM all the way till about seven or 8 AM and they were violent.

I don’t know how much rain fell exactly where we were, but it had to be between five and 6 inches. Even though I was only a couple of months before I turned 7, I remember it as vividly as it just happened.

I am really disappointed in just a complete lack of enthusiasm for the 250th birthday of America. I will never forget 1976 with the bicentennial and I wish you were younger guys got to experience this. I was only nine years old but I remember they were parades all during the spring leading up to it and one of them are particular in my home town of Richmond Hill down 111th St. I got to stand there with a flag and watch a fantastic parade and you just felt like an American and even though I was young I understood what was going on. It was the best of times for having pride to be an American.

The problem is now you have too many immigrants here that hate the American way of life and hate Americans and I don’t care what anybody says. I’ve seen it and I’ve heard them talk about it and I’ve told people if you don’t like it. Why did you come here? Go back to your shit hole country.

I would only extend the protections for any of them if they did something for the country.

Nah. That definition would be perverted by immigration lawyers. Just get em all out. Enough of America being the dumping ground for the 3rd world

Nowhere in human history has a civilized society taken in low IQ dregs who contribute next to nothing just out of sympathy. This entire mindset of thr west is so fucked.

In 1976 they had a whole array of ships that sell in New York Harbor about a river on a bridge on July 4 and the festivities were all day long culminating with the fireworks that night from Macy’s I believe.

How much do you want to make a bet that if they had the same ships on this July 4 people would be screaming that America is a white supremacist country and these are slave ships and America is about oppression and all this other victimhood bullcrap.

Everybody who came to America back then assimilated they gladly left the old traditions of their country back there. They became Americanized that they enjoyed that and they took pride in it and they were grateful and they got along with you. It was so much different fact then that it is today. It really is tragic.

I blame the early boomer liberalism for that because the 1960s was as bad of a decade as any has been. I don’t know what the hell happened at decade, but it was the catalyst for what’s happening today.

Mayor Giuliani banned fireworks and some people were arrested…
