I would imagine NYC sets an all time record high minimum tomorrow unless we get a shower...the record is 84 set in 1908 twice...1995 and 2011...

I have seen some TV people say that. Beware of late Friday/possible Saturday 1 A.M. minimum.

Any money some random shower tomorrow evening or pre midnight knocks down the temp so the record fails. When we all know that the overnight low was broken.

Lows such as warmest overnight low should be taken during the overnight, call me crazy lol

Coned lowered the voltage in my area

This is what I pay all these taxes and high prices for, third world conditions.

Got to 94 degrees, which with a sea breeze is sad lol

Better than the places to my West though that are still over 100

I do not look forward to tomorrow.

A brisk 92 degrees here

All because of those stupid anti-nuclear liberals

Also Cuomo shuttering coal plants upstate took a lot of usable electric off the grid for the region. Shut em down with zero back up.

Coal isn't the cleanest but its cheap and reliable. Just roll trains in and build a pile

I used to be able to check hourly records for Central Park, but the sight was changed and I can't do it anymore...there have been days when the morning low was a record but by midnight the temp was cooler...

Luckily all my AC units are inverters so they're humming along just fine.

But I remember growing up as a kid when the city would lower the voltage our old unit's compressor wouldn't turn on and we would be dying during the day.

The city had 20% of its power come from nuclear in nearby Indian Point but of course that had to be shut down because anything leftists touch turns to shiit.

Imagine shutting down a dependable baseload power supply that is clean, produces no greenhouse gases and is immune to global price and supply shocks lol these people are truly stupid.

Just keep in mind today was like the summer of 1988, everyday. Although, remarkably, Central Park didn't hit 100 that year.

The car that I had was always overheat so I had to turn the air conditioner off and put on the heater. I was a traveling merchandiser for the Bisco cookies so I was all over the 5 boroughs and that was the one of the worst I ever experienced in my life.

There were a lot of thunderstorms to that summer and a lot of them were extremely violent a lot of frequent lightning.

I believe that summer ranked number two for days over 95°, which was in the mid 20s. I believe for New York City.

You know you’re in a heat wave when you’re sitting outside at 7 o’clock in the morning and already you are soaked in sweat.

Lowest temp at Newark appears to be 87 at the momemt. It was still 90 at 3 AM. Wonder if this will break all time max min temp

Most of my area stations had a "steep" drop of around 3 or 4 degrees from roughly 4 to 6AM when most of the night prior to that the temperature held steady or even went up into the lower 90s(!) after dropping into the mid and upper 80s due to the sea breeze.

If it wasn't for that drop I would have had the warmest night on record.

My area stations are already between 92 and 94 degrees and it's only 9AM

NYC had a low of 84 tying the all time record for highest min...Florida was 10 degrees lower...my low was 81...92 now...

92 here

I went from 87 to 93 degrees from 10PM to 11PM when my wind picked up out of the west. And then took until 2AM to finally drop below 90 again.

Then I had a quick several degree drop between 4 and 5AM where I bottomed out at 83ish.
