When we all know that the overnight low was broken. Lows such as warmest overnight low should be taken during the overnight, call me crazy lol
July 2Jul 2 Coned lowered the voltage in my areaThis is what I pay all these taxes and high prices for, third world conditions.
July 2Jul 2 Got to 94 degrees, which with a sea breeze is sad lolBetter than the places to my West though that are still over 100I do not look forward to tomorrow.

Shut em down with zero back up.Coal isn't the cleanest but its cheap and reliable. Just roll trains in and build a pile

But I remember growing up as a kid when the city would lower the voltage our old unit's compressor wouldn't turn on and we would be dying during the day.

Although, remarkably, Central Park didn't hit 100 that year. The car that I had was always overheat so I had to turn the air conditioner off and put on the heater. I was a traveling merchandiser for the Bisco cookies so I was all over the 5 boroughs and that was the one of the worst I ever experienced in my life. There were a lot of thunderstorms to that summer and a lot of them were extremely violent a lot of frequent lightning. I believe that summer ranked number two for days over 95°, which was in the mid 20s. I believe for New York City.
July 3Jul 3 You know you’re in a heat wave when you’re sitting outside at 7 o’clock in the morning and already you are soaked in sweat.
July 3Jul 3 Lowest temp at Newark appears to be 87 at the momemt. It was still 90 at 3 AM. Wonder if this will break all time max min temp
July 3Jul 3 Most of my area stations had a "steep" drop of around 3 or 4 degrees from roughly 4 to 6AM when most of the night prior to that the temperature held steady or even went up into the lower 90s(!) after dropping into the mid and upper 80s due to the sea breeze. If it wasn't for that drop I would have had the warmest night on record.
July 3Jul 3 NYC had a low of 84 tying the all time record for highest min...Florida was 10 degrees lower...my low was 81...92 now...

And then took until 2AM to finally drop below 90 again. Then I had a quick several degree drop between 4 and 5AM where I bottomed out at 83ish.
