Maybe it needs time. A station a few miles south of me that was hovering between 103 and 104 is now down close to 101.

Now it's below 101. JFK down to 93.

Hopefully it starts making a stronger push north

This was last night at exactly midnight. As the video is ending, you can see the wind begin to pick up. Right after that, we gusted to around 70 MPH. That umbrella almost lifted completely off the

It dropped my stations to 99 finally. Sagamore Yacht club to my N in Oyster Bay is 100.5 It's a slow stepdown once the sea breeze boundary passes.

Haha. Casted out to see if anyone took the bait

Just got back below 100 degrees.

Down almost 6 degrees in the last hour.

Both my stations got to 103. I guess I'll go with that.

104 at Newark

I'm surprised they didn't go higher. Maybe over the next hour since they have a strong westerly wind.

Imagine having to " cool down " to 100.

My lord.

I'm now down to a chilly 97 degrees

So glad we haven't had 100s yet here

Just keep in mind today was like the summer of 1988, everyday. Although, remarkably, Central Park didn't hit 100 that year.

If we don't get a sea breeze tomorrow (which I think is unlikely for a lot of people who got one today) then I think many will be at 100 degrees even near or after sunset.

hit 107 on my thermometer...same as Woodbridge...1988 had a real long hot and dry August...

can't find many years that had well above normal snowfall and then a very hot summer...2010 and 2011 but they weren't strong el ninos...

My hottest day so far has been March 21, at 98 degrees.

I would imagine NYC sets an all time record high minimum tomorrow unless we get a shower...the record is 84 set in 1908 twice...1995 and 2011...

Finished at 100.8 in Muttontown & 100.1 in Syosset for highs.
