850 temps are near historic highs. It's near 80 degrees at 850. 105-110 honestly would not surprise me. It's going to come down to whether or not you get full sun.

Yep.. Upton mentioned that we might see the highest 850s since 1956… with decent mixing, 25C yields close to 42C..

I believe Friday is a chance where I can get to 100 here if we get enough of a West Wind.

The heat index is probably going to be over 120 by you. Hopefully Con Ed won’t lower the voltage like they tend to do any situations because it just messes up the air-conditioning.

It wasn't a problem in June 2025 so hopefully everything will work out again this year.

I remember growing up during some of the nasty heat waves of the 90s the voltage would drop so low that the compressor would never turn on during the day when we needed it most!

I used to live near the Italian Ice King when I was little.

I know the hottest temperature in 1956 was 99 on June 14th 1956...was it that day...I actually remember it...I was seven years old and there was a transit strike...

They didn’t mention what day it was but the hottest temp likely would match up with that 850 temp… perhaps on that date in 1956, surface temp might have been offset by other factors such as cloud cover and wind direction/speed… but 850 temps near 25C with full sun and a decent west wind will almost undoubtedly yield 100+

99 at Newark today...I hit 98 but it cooled off a bit...

850 for June 14th, 1956

Somerville up to 98 degrees at 4PM, even hotter than Newark because they have a light SE wind now.

Here in East Nantmeal I recorded a high of 91.0 degrees this is only the 66th time since 2004 we have seen a 90+ day at this location. This is the first such day here since last June 25, 2025. Other area highs Atglen DEOS 92.2 / KMQS 92.1 / Glenmoore DEOS 93.6 / Nottingham DEOS 91.2 / Warwick DEOS 94.8 / Devault DEOS 94.8 / Kennett Square DEOS 94.3 / Longwood Gardens DEOS 94.6 / West Bradford DEOS 93.1 / West Chester DEOS 96.8 / West Grove DEOS 92.6

88° with oppressive humidity up here in the ADKs, some nice Popup storms around and hopefully we have another line come thru around 1am like last night.
