What about Sirius XM? And Bell Telephone? They seem to let them form when they feel like it. The Sherman Antitrust Act says none of them should have happened.

Its costing over an estimated 40000 jobs when you take in account the trickle down of all that goes into it such as food services at the small airports, baggage people, etc. Im happy for no bailout, but the merge should have happened.

Yeah that merger would have done nothing wrong to the industry. The only mergers I am truly against are the ones that turn an industry into a monopoly.

Maybe they shouldn't have been so greedy at Spirit and they should have taken the Frontier deal instead. That merger would have probably been approved.

Oh well. Too bad so sad.

There's also evidence that over time Jetblue was not feeling the merger so much and they didn't really fight to appeal the block well at all on purpose.

Odds are the bigger airlines paid off most of the govt to prevent the merger
