I don't even see how. At least when I compare the prices at Costco to the prices at my local supermarket here, Costco has several items that are more expensive.

TP, Paper Towels, Napkins, milk that stuff's all cheaper for the most part. Have to be careful what you buy-if you're not careful you buy stuff that goes bad before you can use all of it or you buy stuff that's not a good deal on impulse.

Usually I buy toilet paper and things like that from WalMart. Milk I buy organic. It sounds crazy, because it's double the price, but I don't use much and it really lasts a long time.

That works too. Grocery prices on non food I tend to find really high compared to Target/Walmart/Costco

Thomas ASSIE wants to end this. Yeah, he's a great American.

The USA PATRIOT Act primarily focuses on terrorism and national security, not directly on stopping pedophiles. However, its expansion of surveillance powers (like roving wiretaps and internet surveillance) can technically be used by law enforcement in investigating child exploitation cases, but it is not specific legislation targeting child sex crimes. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Key Details regarding Law Enforcement and Pedophilia:

  • Surveillance Tools: The PATRIOT Act broadened the scope for surveillance, which federal agents may utilize when investigating organized, large-scale child exploitation cases, especially those crossing state or international lines.

  • Other Laws: Specific, more direct legislation to stop pedophiles and child sex predators includes the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006 and various Project Safe Childhood initiatives.

  • ICE Operations: Federal agencies like ICE utilize a broad array of laws—not just the PATRIOT Act—to track and arrest sexual predators, particularly foreign nationals, often using Operation Predator or similar task forces. [1, 2, 3, 4]

While the PATRIOT Act expanded government tools generally, other specific legislation exists for combating child sex offenses. [1, 2, 3]

The Administration Has Worked To Give Law Enforcement New Tools To Go After Criminals Who Kidnap And Exploit Children.

  • The PROTECT Act. In 2003, President Bush signed the PROTECT Act that expanded the use of Amber Alerts, making grants available to all 50 States so law enforcement can quickly alert the public about missing children and their abductors.

  • Operation Predator. The Administration launched Operation Predator to help law enforcement track down and arrest foreign pedophiles, human traffickers, sex tourists, and Internet pornographers who prey on our children.

  • Project Safe Childhood. Earlier this year, the Department of Justice launched Project Safe Childhood to help Federal, State, and local law enforcement investigate and prosecute crimes against children that are facilitated by the Internet and other electronic communications.

The Adam Walsh Child Protection And Safety Act Of 2006 Builds On The Administration's Progress In Four Important Ways:

  1. Expanding The National Sex Offender Registry. The bill will integrate the information in State sex offender registry systems and ensure that law enforcement has access to the same information across the United States, helping prevent sex offenders from evading detection by moving from State to State. Data drawn from this comprehensive registry will be made available to the public so parents have the information they need to help protect their children from sex offenders.

  2. Strengthening Federal Penalties For Crimes Against Children. The bill imposes tough mandatory minimum penalties for the most serious crimes against children and increases penalties for crimes such as sex trafficking of children and child prostitution. It also provides grants to States to help them institutionalize sex offenders who have shown they cannot change their behavior and are about to be released from prison.

  3. Making It Harder For Sex Predators To Reach Our Children On The Internet. The bill authorizes new regional Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforces that will provide funding and training to help State and local law enforcement combat crimes involving the sexual exploitation of minors on the Internet.

Creating A New National Child Abuse Registry And Requiring Investigators To Do Background Checks Of Adoptive And Foster Parents Before They Are Approved To Take Custody Of A Child. By giving child protective service professionals in all 50 States access to this critical information, we will improve their ability to investigate child abuse cases and help ensure that vulnerable children are not put into situations of abuse or neglect.

Fine, let's have COMPLETE and TOTAL privacy on the Internet and our phones.

Let people download as much child porn as they want to, after all, it's a FREE country.

Let people call cartels, child trafficking rings, whoever they want, it's their RIGHT.

I think you may just be the stupidest person I have ever conversed with in my entire life, and I worked in inner city schools, with some pretty dumb *****.

You telling me that I am stupid is like saying ISIS is not a terrorist organization.

You should not call anyone stupid, ever. You are the singular most stupid and ignorant person I have ever crossed paths with.

How does the Patriot Act effect law-abiding citizens AT ALL? If it effects anyone, it's because you're up to no good, and why should I care if some pervert gets caught with his pants down and a 12 year old on the other side?

Not you, or Thomas Assie, or anyone else who is against the Patriot Act has ever told me or anyone else how it effects regular law-abiding citizens.

Because you can't. Because it doesn't. It's funny that this is probably the only decent law GWB passed in his eight years in office and it's the one you like the least.

But then again, you should be a big fan of No Child Left Behind, because your type would never graduate High School without it.

Let's see if you can answer this question, stupid.

I HIGHLY doubt you can. Suppose it is announced next month that a terror ring was stopped because of the Patriot ACT and thousands of lives, possibly hundreds of thousands of lives were saved.

Would you still be against it? As far as your "papers please" comment, are you one of the ***** who gets pulled over and refuses to show your documentation because you are a "sovereign citizen"?
