You can't come to an agreement or compromise with people who would relish in the demise of our country. Once upon a time the Democrats were a normal party where we would disagree on small difference

It happened already in the 70s and was a disaster. Kids were walking to school in pitch black.

Horrible idea. Im sure high school kids' grades will be great when the sun comes up mid 2nd period. You can barely get them awake now. Next year all my kids are in college, so it doesn't really bother me as much. Im not a fan though of kids at bus stops or walking to school in the pitch black though.

If it didn't work because of parents' protests in the 1970s, 50 years ago, with how weak kids are now and how parents don't even want their kids going to school in 2 inches of snow, there is NO WAY it will work more than a year or two now.

Something about guys named Massie

This is why everyone has become a pusssy

Can't have kids go to school in the dark. That already happens on the western edge of all time zones in winter.

And it already happens in half of Europe because of their farther north latitude.

Maybe we should move the clocks two hours back so that the sun can come up at 530AM in winter so Timmy doesn't have to experience dusk and therefore melt. Who cares if the sun goes down at 3PM afterward yes?

I'm not saying I agree or disagree, but if that happened 50 years ago, you don't think it would happen today?

A lot of things have changed in 50 years. Have you looked around? Lol

Yes, but parents and children have certainly not gotten any stronger, that was the point.

People all over the world go to school in the dark. Including in this country.

With winters getting warmer we'd be able to even do more after school activities and sports outdoors too with some extra light.

Think long term.

According to Reuters this morning, Iran not going for USA deal.

If this is accurate, will be bombing again, very soon.

The ***** part is every single adult crying about kids going to school in the dark...is because they are too weak to handle the sun setting at 445 and driving home in twilight. Studies show that kids learn better when its light outside. I thought sundog worked in education. The kids are already dumber, lets amplify that.

What about people who work in construction? Just sit around till daylight cracks at 830-900?

I'm fine with the Sun going down early. But if I can choose I'd rather more sunlight in the afternoon, you know, when people are free to do more things, including children?

But the only reason why this is even an issue is because most major cities are mostly in the eastern ends of time zones and haven't experienced what people in western end of the time zones ALREADY EXPERIENCE IN WINTER.

And most of Europe as well, even in southern latitudes.

For example, Athens has the same latitude as about Atlantic City and is in southern Europe. In winter the Sun comes up at 740AM. Imagine farther north in Europe.

How do they do it?

So then let's just make it even worse for people in the western ends of time zones!

That's a perfect solution!

Who cares. They'll have a sunset of 6PM in winter.

Who doesn't want that?

wouldn't it easier if you go to work or school to fit the season without changing the clock?...if we use permanent daylight savings time weather records will be from 1am to 1am all the time...is having one more hour of daylight in the winter worth it?...
